THE TOUI BETA

Cook with us before anyone else does.

Toui is a working product with real cooks using it every night — and it's still being shaped. We're letting in a small group who'll actually cook with it and tell us the truth about what's broken. In exchange, dinner's on us for a long while.

4,000 credits
on the house

That's roughly 67 full dinners — recipes, AI food photography, live Cook Mode chat, the whole pantry and planner system. Every feature unlocked, nothing held back for a paid tier. You will not be asked for a card.

For scale: Blaze, our biggest paid plan, is $49/month for 2,400 credits. Beta testers get 4,000. You're getting more than our top tier, for nothing, because honest feedback while we're still building is worth more to us than the money.
THE DEAL

It's a trade, and we'll say the quiet part.

We're not giving away credits out of generosity. We need cooks who'll use this on a Tuesday when they're tired and hungry, and then tell us exactly where it let them down.

What you get
All of it, immediately on approval.
  • 4,000 credits — about 67 dinners, yours to spend however you like.
  • Every feature unlocked — nothing is fenced off behind a plan while you're testing.
  • A direct line to us. Bug reports go straight to the person who fixes them — often the same week.
  • Real influence. Features on the roadmap right now exist because a tester complained about something.
  • No card, no auto-charge, no trap. When the beta ends you choose a plan or you walk. That's it.
What we ask
Nothing you wouldn't do anyway — except the last one.
  • Actually cook. Real dinners on real nights beat fifty test prompts. We need to know how it holds up at 6pm.
  • Tell us when it's wrong. There's a Feedback tab on the edge of every screen. One tap, say what happened, done.
  • Rate the meals. The day after you cook, Toui asks how it went. Those stars are how the recipes get better.
  • Be blunt. "This recipe was bland" is worth more than "great app!" We can't fix polite.
WHAT YOU'RE TESTING

Not a demo. The whole kitchen.

Every one of these is live in the app today. You get all of them from day one.

Dinner from your actual fridge

Type or say what you've got. Toui writes a recipe around it — not the other way round. Four modes, including cooking around one ingredient you need to use up.

Recipes written like a chef wrote them

Station plans, real temperatures, timing that accounts for what's resting while something else sears. Not a wall of vague steps.

Cook Mode — talk to it mid-cook

Hands covered in flour and the sauce broke? Ask. It knows the recipe you're standing in and answers for that dish, not in general.

A pantry that keeps itself

Cook a meal and the ingredients come off your shelves automatically. A quick check-in reconciles the rest and learns how long things really last in your kitchen.

Week planning that does the math

Build a week, set who's eating at each meal, and Toui works out the shopping — subtracting what you already own instead of making you buy it twice.

Every recipe gets a photo

AI food photography of the actual dish you're about to make, so you know what you're aiming for before you turn on the stove.

Allergies taken seriously

An allergen scanner runs on every single thing the AI produces, before you ever see it. Diet rules get the same treatment — including the sugar hiding in a bottled sauce.

It learns what you like

Tell it the food you love and the food you'd rather never see again. It builds a palate profile and rides it into every recipe — and stops repeating itself.

Cook with your household

Add someone to your kitchen so you share a pantry and a plan. Send a week or a single idea to anyone with a link — no account needed on their end.

HOW JOINING WORKS

Three steps, and a human in the middle.

We approve testers by hand, in small batches, so we can actually keep up with the feedback. Here's exactly what happens.

1

Create your account

Takes about thirty seconds — sign in with Google or an email and password. No card, no questionnaire, no sales call. You'll land on a "you're on the list" screen and we'll email you to confirm we've got you.

2

We review and approve you

A real person looks at every request, and most get approved the same day. Until then the app holds the door — you'll see a short "you're on the list" note instead of the kitchen. Nothing's broken, we just haven't got to you yet.

Keep an eye on your inbox — including the spam folder, at least once.
3

Your credits land and you cook

You'll get a "you're in" email, and 4,000 credits will be sitting in your account when you open it. Nothing else to click, nothing to redeem. Open the fridge, tell Toui what's in it, and make dinner.

HONEST EXPECTATIONS

Beta means beta.

It's a real product that real families cook from every night. It also has rough edges, and we'd rather you hear that from us than find out on a Tuesday.

You'll love this if
  • You cook most nights and you're sick of deciding what to make.
  • You throw out food you meant to use and it bothers you.
  • You'd rather shape a product early than wait for version 5.
  • You're the sort of person who reports the bug instead of shrugging.
  • You've got allergies or a diet to work around and most apps handle it badly.
Maybe wait if
  • You need something flawless right now — we're still fixing things weekly.
  • You want to sign up, never open it, and keep the credits. That's fine, but it's not testing.
  • You're hoping for a fixed menu of curated recipes. Toui writes new ones for your kitchen instead.
  • You don't want to be emailed occasionally about what changed.
BETA FAQ

The questions everyone asks.

It's really free, and there's no card involved at any point — so there's nothing that can quietly start charging you. The catch, such as it is, is written plainly above: we want you to actually cook and actually tell us what's wrong. Those credits cost us real money to run, and we're spending it to buy honest feedback.
Credits are how we meter the AI. Everything that costs us — generating meal ideas, writing the full recipe, making the photo, chatting in Cook Mode — draws down a few. A complete dinner, from idea to plated, runs about 60 credits all in. So 4,000 is roughly 67 dinners. You can see your balance any time inside the app.
Nothing dramatic and nothing automatic. We'll tell you well before the beta wraps, and you'll pick a plan if you want to keep going — they start at $12 a month. If you don't, your account just stops generating new recipes. Everything you already cooked and saved stays yours either way. We will never turn a free beta account into a paid one without you clicking something.
Usually the same day, sometimes the next. It's a person doing it, not a script, so if we're cooking dinner ourselves it might wait an hour. Until you're approved the app will show you a holding screen rather than the kitchen — that's normal, not a bug. There's a "check again" button on it, and you'll get an email the second you're through.
No. Toui runs in your browser and is built for a phone in a kitchen — greasy thumbs, screen propped against the toaster. Add it to your home screen if you want it to feel like an app. Nothing to download, no app store.
There's a Feedback tab pinned to the edge of every screen. Tap it, say what happened, and it captures what you were looking at automatically so you don't have to describe it. You can attach a photo too. It lands in front of the person who fixes it, and a lot of reports get turned around the same week.
Yes — add one person to your household and you'll share a pantry, a plan and a shopping list. Whoever gets home first can see what's already thawing. You can also send a week's plan or a single recipe to anyone by link, and they don't need an account to open it.
We use what you tell us — your pantry, allergies, dislikes and ratings — to make your recipes better, and we look at bug reports and usage to fix the product. We don't sell it. Full details are in the privacy policy.

4,000 credits, and a say in what gets built.

Sign up, get approved, and cook something tonight you'd actually be proud to put on the table. Then tell us where we got it wrong.
